About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director – Deals Strategy to lead transaction strategy and operational value-creation projects from scoping to execution. This role focuses on linking deal hypotheses to commercial and operational outcomes, driving integration and separation planning, and mentoring future talent.
You will work closely with Directors and Partners to deliver strategic insights, validate deal theses, and ensure seamless execution across complex transactions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead transaction strategy and operational value-creation projects from scoping to execution, linking deal hypotheses to commercial and operational outcomes.
- Assess market attractiveness, competitive positioning, and investment rationale to validate or challenge the deal thesis in buy- and sell-side situations.
- Develop, challenge, and sensitise synergy, cost-to-achieve, and stranded-cost cases.
- Drive integration and separation planning, and post-deal implementation of PMO governance, Day 1 / Day 2 readiness, and benefits tracking.
- Lead workshops and client discussions to validate insights and recommendations.
- Translate analysis into clear, actionable guidance for investors and management teams.
- Mentor Associates and Senior Associates to develop technical depth and commercial judgement.
- Contribute to practice development initiatives — tools, frameworks, and thought leadership.
- Support proposals, pitch materials, and client development initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, seamless outcomes for clients.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in M&A strategy, separation, and integration advisory within a Big 4, or leading consulting or advisory firm.
- Expertise in synergy analysis, carve-outs, integration planning, and operational value creation.
- Proven ability to manage complex engagements and deliver commercially grounded outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- Professional qualifications (CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA) highly regarded.
What we bring
- A cutting-edge newly created Professional Services firm and the opportunity to step away from what is rapidly becoming an outdated Partnership model.
- A clearly defined vision and a group of market-leading founders who want to reshape what a Professional Services firm looks like.
Why we’re the right fit for you
- The opportunity to be part of a new Professional Services firm that will re-define what is possible.
- A dynamic, collaborative culture and the chance to work alongside market-leading professionals.
- Exposure to prestigious clients including private equity firms, corporates, and investors.
- Clear career progression to Director and Partnership.
- Competitive remuneration and professional development opportunities.
